Breast Forms for Spring

As we leave the cold weather of winter behind us, the warmer temperatures of spring and summer lead to a wardrobe change that many women who have had a mastectomy may find troubling. After surgery, the use of prosthetics or breast forms may lead to a lack of self-confidence since clothing may be a little more revealing than that of sweaters or turtlenecks in winter.

The main is reason is because they’re afraid of either slipping or falling in the bathroom, mainly because they do not have complete control of their motor functions.

The Beltless Undergarment

The beltless undergarment is very much the same as the belted undergarment but with one of the only differences being that they do not have belts that wrap around the sides to hold them in place. Instead of a belt, this undergarment has an adhesive strip down the middle of the plastic or cloth like outer backing to hold it securely in your own underwear or in a knit or mesh pant.

Belted undergarments are mostly used by people when they require heavier protection compared to a light bladder leakage pad or garment can provide. They are made up of a front to back absorbent pad with pores to connect belts in both front and back positions. They are made in modern style and are open from the sides.
