Medline Skin Affix Topical Skin Adhesive Applicator is a sterile, high-viscosity liquid topical skin adhesive that is used to seal minor lacerations, wounds, and minimally invasive surgical procedures. For less invasive surgical incisions or simple trauma lacerations, skin affixes can replace sutures with a diameter of 5-0 or smaller. It's made to reduce time while wounds are being repaired, create a flexible, water-resistant microbiological barrier, and eliminate the need for sutures. The glue forms a film that lasts for 5 to 10 days before sloughing off naturally as the skin renews.
