How to use Posey Limb Elevators?

  • Wrap the liner, towel or washcloth around the ankle.
  • Insert the ankle through the opening in the foam and secure with hook and loop closure strap.
  • Note: To reduce pressure on the ankle and hypertension of the knee, a pillow may be placed under the patient’s knee and leg.
Fitting Instruction
  • Measure the patient's ankle circumference.
  • This product is designed to optimally fit patients ankle circumferences measuring between 4" and 6" (10 cm and 15 cm).
  • Be sure to follow your facility;s policies and guidelines for frequency of patient monitoring. Posey recommends that this product be removed at least every two (2) hours to check for skin integrity, proper circulation and range of motion.
  • Inspect before each use: check for broken stitches, or torn, cut or frayed material. Do not use soiled or damaged products.

What is the width referring to?  (4" or 6") Does that mean the foam is either 4" thick or 6" thick?? Because it stated that it fit a 8"-12" 1/2" ankle.

Yes, 4 inches or 6 inches width implies the thickness of the foam. This product is designed to optimally fit ankle circumferences measuring between 8" and 12-1/2" (20cm and 32cm). Measure the patient's ankle circumference and you can purchase appropriate option.

  1. Merchandise must be returned within 30 days of the receipt of your order. Returns are not accepted after 30 days.
  2. Items (including parts and accessories) must be returned in new, unused, and resalable condition in its original packaging.
  3. Before returning any product, the buyer must obtain a Return Authorization Number (RA#) from a customer service representative. With your RA# you will receive a prepaid return shipping label.

How do I receive a return authorization number?

How long does it take to receive a refund?

Is there any Restocking Fees?
