Chattanooga Solid Body Style Sling Installation Instructions

1. Check the sling weight capacity for the patient being lifted
2. Do not exceed the maximum safe working load of 400lb
3. Position the sling under and behind the patient's back with the color adjustment strap outside
4. Shoulder straps should be at the patient's shoulder height
5. Carefully, with the help from another caregiver, pull the sling straps forward to the bend of the patient's knees
6. Push the lift towards the patient
7. Widen the base of the lift by pressing the right foot pedal down
8. Apply the brakes on both rear casters
9. Hook all straps to the corresponding hook on the spreader bar
10. Using loops closer to the patient's body will generally accelerate the lift
11. Release the brakes to allow the lift to properly balance the weight of the patient before lifting
12. Proceed with lift and transfer of the patient
