Diaper rash is a form of contact dermatitis or skin irritation that develops in small children and adults with fragile skin in the area that is covered by the diaper. There is a possible chance of bacteria or yeast infection at the site of the rash. Diaper rashes have several categories. Contact dermatitis in which the topmost layer of the skin can become red or irritated. This type of dermatitis occurs only in the areas covered by the diaper and or urine and stool. Skin infection is the next level of nappy rashes. At HPFY we bring to you an array of effective products to reduce diaper rash occurrences and to provide relief from these painful rashes.
Here are some common causes of diaper rashes in both adults and infants:
Diaper rashes can be managed by frequent diaper changes which prevent the urine and stool to be in contact with the skin for a longer period of time. If a rash develops clean the area with a soft cloth and water. Diaper area ointments like Coloplast Baza Protect Moisture Barrier Cream or the Calmoseptine Moisture Barrier Ointment provide effective relief from rashes and reduce friction to the irritated area. The diaper area must be exposed to oxygen-rich air which helps in clearing off the rash. Exposing the diaper area to warm water also helps in the treatment of rashes. For small children try the Comfees Premium Training Pants which helps them gain bladder control. We have top-quality products from well-known manufacturers like Coloplast, Medline, Calmoseptine, Chattem Inc, and many more at attractive discounts.

It is best to cover the entire area where the diaper touches to avoid the diaper rash spreading in other areas.
It is recommended to change wet or soiled diapers right away followed by a gentle wipe in the diaper area and pat dry. You must check the diaper at least every two hours as you may not always know when your baby needs a change. In newborns or babies with diaper rash and/or diarrhea, you must check even more frequently. Super-absorbent disposable diapers may reduce the incidence of diaper rash. But you must change your baby’s diaper often, even if it does not feel wet.
No, Normal diaper rashes do not spread. A diaper rash is just an irritation against baby’s skin and is a break or near break of the skin, which can commonly be caused by excessive moisture or friction. But they must be treated with utmost care as it is a cause of discomfort for the baby. If a diaper rash spreads then it may be a yeast infection and not a rash. Contact your doctor in that case.
In most cases you do not need a prescription for a rash cream. However, for extreme cases of diaper rash, a stronger, more medicated diaper rash cream may be needed, for which prescription creams are available.
Yes a normal moisturizing rash cream can be applied to the areas where the diaper touches the skin to prevent a diaper rash.
