Prism SGA-440 Sit to Stand Lift is a smooth and versatile sit-to-stand lift, intended for clients who can participate actively in the transfer. Once in a standing position, transfer to a wheelchair or commode is done easily and smoothly. The client also gets valuable standing training with the transfer. It allows for a wide range of adjustments to the leg supports and the lifting bar itself to accommodate the support and comfort needs of the client. These adjustments enable the caregiver to adapt the raising to pain sensitive patients, residents or loved ones, or those paralyzed on one side, with no need for optional equipment or separate lifts.

  • The SGA-440 Sit to Stand lift is one of two components that make up this technology. The other component, the sling, is a specially designed fabric accessory that attaches to the floor lift by means of a carry bar and straps and holds an individual while the lift or transfer takes place. The sling is generally supplied with the Sit to Stand lift at the initial time of purchase
  • The SGA-440 Sit to Stand lift has the ability to lift an individual up from one location such as chair then move the individual to another location and finally lower the individual into a wheelchair. The functions of lifting up or down are accomplished by pressing buttons on the hand control. The hand control is attached to the Sit to Stand lift.   • Cautions:
    Under no circumstance should the SGA-440 Sit to Stand lift and sling (s) be put in control of a person who has not been properly trained in the use and care of this equipment. Failure to adhere to this warning may result in serious injury to the operator, and/or the individual being lifted/ transferred
    -The SGA-440 Sit to Stand lift and sling (s) are not toys. Do not use it for unsafe practices. Do not allow children to play with the floor lift or any of its components
    -The manufacturer warranty is voided if persons unauthorized by Prism Medical Ltd. will perform work on the SGA-440 Sit to Stand lift
    -There are no user serviceable parts inside the actuator. Do not remove cover screws, or open the unit, as this will VOID THE WARRANTY
    -Never expose the SGA-440 Sit to Stand lift directly to water. Warranty does not cover any misuse or abuse of the floor lift system
    -To maintain optimum function, the SGA-440 Sit to Stand lift should be inspected and maintained on a regular basis
    -Any accessories used with the SGA-440 Sit to Stand lift including sling (s), should be checked to ensure that they are in good working order. Check for signs of wear or fraying prior to use. Report any unusual wear, or damage immediately to your local authorized Prism Medical Service Provider
    -The SGA-440 Sit to Stand lift and associated sling (s) are intended only for lifting and transferring of a person. Prism Medical will not be responsible for any damage caused by the misuse, neglect or purposeful destruction of the lift, and/or its associated components
    -In any circumstances do not exceed the maximum allowable load of this lift
    -There is a risk of explosion if the lift is used in the presence of flammable anesthetics
    -Ensure that a clear space is maintained around the lift. Move any obstacles out of the way before operating the floor lift
  • Care:
    - Do charge the battery whenever possible. This will extend the battery life. A large number of cycles can be obtained from operating on the batteries, but battery lifetime is reduced with frequent discharging
    -Do inspect all cables particularly the mains power cable on the charger for any damage; replace where necessary
    -Do stow the handset and if fitted with charger, the mains power cable when transporting the hoist
    -Do clean the actuators, control box, charger, battery and handset at regular intervals to remove dust and dirt
    -The exterior of the lift should only be cleaned, disinfected and sterilized using isopropyl alcohol
    -Damp a cloth with isopropyl alcohol and wipe down entire exterior of lift
    -No other chemicals and/or liquids should be used to clean, disinfect and sterilize this lift
    -Do not allow the batteries to fully discharge before connecting to the charger. The batteries are a lead acid gel cell type that can be trickled charged continuously (batteries used for standby) and have a high current discharge capacity. Life is greatly reduced by deep or complete discharging of the batteries. Longer lifetime is obtained by maintaining fully charged batteries
    -Do not continue to operate the handset by repeatedly pressing the buttons if the lift function will not move or the actuator will not function. If this occurs then the actuator has either reached its end position, the load is too great or there is a malfunction
    -Do not exert excessive force on the handset cable as this may break off the wires inside the cable and prevent some or all of the operations
    -Do not continually operate the hoist functions. The system is not designed for continuous operation.Continuous Operation will cause batteries to be deeply discharged or to damage the actuator or control box by overheating

What is HPFY’s return policy?

Customer satisfaction is our top priority. We stand behind our products. If the merchandise you received is defective or not what you expected it to be, and you wish to return the item, please submit a return request in the My Account section of our website, contact our Customer Service department at (866) 316-0162 / (203) 616-2850 or email us.

  1. Merchandise must be returned within 30 days of the receipt of your order. Returns are not accepted after 30 days.
  2. Items (including parts and accessories) must be returned in new, unused, and resalable condition in its original packaging.
  3. Before returning any product, the buyer must obtain a Return Authorization Number (RA#) from a customer service representative. With your RA# you will receive a prepaid return shipping label.
  4. Orders returned without obtaining an RA# will be entitled to receive only "In-Store Credit" that can be used towards future purchases.
  5. Return orders are subject to a 20% restocking fees.
  6. All custom orders and hygienic items are non-returnable. Refer to the “Non-Returnable Items” section for further details.
  7. Returns will be reviewed and inspected before issuing credit. Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for processing. The credit will be applied to your original method of payment.
  8. If the return is the result of a defective product or shipping error, we will refund the entire purchase amount and return shipping costs.

Which products are Non-Returnable?

Due to the hygienic nature of some items, they are non-returnable. The items listed below are non-returnable:

  2. Opened personal care items.
  3. Anything opened, used, or tried on.
  4. All customized items.
  5. Besides these, items that have the “non-returnable” phrase on the website.

We reserve the right to make adjustments due to errors, changing market conditions, product discontinuation or typographical errors in advertisements. Images on the site may not always reflect the actual product. Footrests or leg-rests are not included with wheelchairs unless specified.

How do I receive a return authorization number?

You can submit a return request by logging into your account. You will receive the Return Authorization Number (RA#) details in the email within 2-3 business days.

  • Click on “return order”
  • Fill out the return form and Submit it

If you do not have an email address, we will make other accommodations for RA# Details. Write the RA# on your label affixed to your package prior to shipment.

How long does it take to receive a refund?

Please allow 3 to 4 weeks to process the returns. Once the item is received, and inspected, your refund will be processed and automatically applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

Is there any Restocking Fees?

  1. 20% restocking fees will be applied.
  2. Outbound shipping cost is non-refundable.
  3. For orders that qualified for free shipping, $8.99 will be deducted from the refund if the product is returned.
