Precautions of Deroyal Hip Protector

• The physician or practitioner is responsible for providing wearing instructions and precautions to other healthcare practitioners or healthcare providers involved in the patient’s care and the patient.
• Inspect product for damaged or missing components prior to patient application.
• Discontinue the use of the device and consult a physician or properly licensed practitioner if the device becomes damaged in any way, limiting its ability to perform as intended.
• Be sure to follow your facility’s policies and guidelines for frequency of patient monitoring.

Instructions for Use for Deroyal Hip Protector

• Ensure that the sew-in label is on the inside of the garment and on the back of the patient.
• Place both legs into the garment and slide up over the hips and waist.
• NOTE: The foam pads in the garment should be properly aligned with the hip joints.

How to Clean Deroyal Hip Protector

• Prior to washing, remove any detachable rigid stays, fasten any buckles and tie any laces to minimize damage during the wash and dry cycles.
• Close any hook and loop fasteners before washing to help prevent lint build-up and pilling.
• For maximum product life and to help prevent any straps from tangling, wash in a mesh laundry bag.
• Hand or machine wash with a mild fabric detergent in warm water up to 60˚C / 140˚F.
• Bleach as directed on the container.
