Low Blood Pressure
Low blood pressure is characterized by fatigue, light headedness, nausea, dizziness, blurred vision, clammy skin etc. Along with the preventive medications that your doctor might prescribe you must also go for certain lifestyle changes that will help you to maintain your blood pressure levels to optimally.
Eat small meals at small intervals rather than having three big meals a day. This may help to prevent sudden blood pressure drops post eating.
Excessive salt is harmful for you but adequate amount of salt is necessary for your body. You must add a teaspoon of salt to your daily food apart from what you get from the natural sources.
Staying hydrated is a great remedy. Drink at least 2-3 liters of water and other fluids during the day. Dehydration is a common cause of low blood pressure.
Caffeine can help in boosting your blood pressure for a while. When experiencing sudden blood pressure drops, help yourself with a generous mug of coffee.
Indian Basil or Tulsi is a herb that contains high levels of potassium, magnesium, vitamin C and antioxidants that help in maintaining the adequate amounts of blood pressure.
