R/C Thomas Train And Remote Control Action Toy

R/C Thomas Train And Remote Control Action Toy has a large two button infrared remote control to make it easy to activate the train. One button moves him forward, the other backward. Great for teaching cause and effect and directionality.

Features

  • Train size: 5"L x 2¼"W x 3¼"H
  • Remote size: 6"L x 4½"W x 2"H
  • Train and Remote each require 3 AAA batteries

More Information

  • Operation:
    - Thomas requires 3 AA batteries (Not included). Use alkaline batteries only (e.g. Duracell or Energizer brand). Do not use rechargeable batteries or any other type of batteries because they supply lower voltage and the unit will not perform properly. Never mix old and new batteries together or different brands or types together
    - To install the batteries in the train turn the train over. Next, remove the screw located down in-between the front wheels (see photos on back of guide) and lift the cover off. Install 3 AAA batteries following proper (+) & (-) battery placement. Replace cover and turn the train’s ON/OFF switch located on the front underside of the train to ON
    - To install the battery for the big button remote control, turn the remote over and locate the small screw on the battery cover door. Using a Phillips head screwdriver open the compartment and install 3 AAA batteries paying close attention to proper battery polarity. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure with the screw
Note: The remote has no ON/OFF switch. When storing the remote make sure nothing depresses the top two buttons to prevent battery drain
    - This big button controller allows the user to move Thomas forward and a reverse circle. Slight pressure on the control button in either of the two directions will drive Thomas in that direction. Once you release pressure on the button Thomas will stop. R/C Thomas’s uses IR (infrared not RF, radio frequency) to control him much like a TV remote works so he needs to be in line of sight for the remote to control him properly. If not you will have no control of Thomas with the remote control
    - When you are finished using Thomas turn the ON/OFF switch onThomas to off, this will help conserve battery power. If Thomas isnot going to be used for a long period of time, e.g. one month orlonger, we recommend removing the batteries from Thomas andcontroller during storage to prevent battery drain or leakage, whichcan cause damage to Thomas and big button controller
  • Troubleshooting:
    Problem:
    Thomas is not running
    - Action: Make sure batteries in Thomas and the big button controllerare fresh and installed following proper (+) & (-) battery placement
    Problem: Thomas is running intermittently
    - Action: Replace batteries in the big button remote control andThomas. Weak batteries will severely limit the normal transmittingrange of your remote control
  • Care of Unit:
    - Thomas can be wiped clean with any household multi-purpose cleanerand disinfectant. We recommend Simple Green, which is a non-toxicbiodegradable all-purpose cleaner
    - Do not submerge the unit, as it will damage the contents and theelectrical components
    - Do not use abrasive cleaners, as they will scratch the surface of theunit
