Benefits of Vitaflo Renastart Powder
Renastart has the following additional nutritional features that are beneficial in chronic kidney disease in infants

Flexibility of use
Vitaflo Renastart Nutrition Powder for Renal Failure allows it to be:
- Concentrated to an energy content up to 2kcal/ml
- Mixed with other formulas or supplements to meet varying nutrition and fluid requirements
- Given as a tube feeding
- Offered as a beverage to supplement oral diet

What to buy with Vitaflo Renastart Powder?
How to Prepare Renastart Powder dilution?
Renastart powder is typically mixed with water. Follow the exact recipe and instructions given by your dietitian or clinician.The standard dilution of 1.0 kcal/ml (30 kcal/oz) is made by adding 1 level scoop of Renastart formula (approx 7g) to 30ml of water (approx 1 fluid oz).Please follow these guidelines carefully as incorrect preparation can make your child ill.

1. Wash hands well. |
|
|
2. Boil fresh water and leave to cool for no more than 30 minutes to ensure it remains at a temperature of at least 158ºF (70ºC). |
|
|
3. Measure out the required amount of water into the feed container. Do not use artificially softened water or repeatedly boiled water. |
|
|
4. Using the scoop provided, add the prescribed number of scoops of Renastart powder to the water, leveling each scoop off with the back of a clean dry knife. |
|
|
5. Seal feed container and shake well until powder is dissolved. Test the temperature before feeding. The feed should feel warm or cool, but not hot. |
|
|
6. Renastart formula is now ready to use. |
Note: Dilutions and tube-feeding Needs to be determined by the dietitian or clinician
Important Feeding Information:
- Do not heat Renastart formula in a microwave as uneven heating may occur and could cause scalding
- Do not boil Renastart formula
- Regular teeth cleaning is recommended
