Frequently Asked Questions
1. What does cupping therapy do?
Cupping therapy is an old Chinese treatment that helps muscles. Instead of pressing on the skin, it pulls to loosen the fascia around muscles. This helps muscles recover by releasing pressure in the tissues and increasing blood flow.
2. Is cupping therapy painful?
Cupping therapy might feel a bit strange at first, but it usually doesn't hurt. It's like your skin is getting gently pulled or tugged. Some people get funny bruises, but they disappear fast and don't hurt much. Just talk to your therapist during the session if you need any changes – it's all part of the experience!
3. Why can’t you shower after cupping?
After a cupping session, wait a few hours before showering. Your skin has been stretched and pulled, and your pores are more open. Jumping into a hot shower too soon can irritate your skin and make the marks take longer to heal. Also, your body is still getting rid of toxins that cupping helped move around. Waiting a bit before getting wet helps your skin and lets your body do its thing.
