How to assemble Medline MDS80600 IV Pole Stand?

  1. Un-wrap all parts from packaging.
  2. ssemble the bolt, lock washer, flat washer, and spacer. Connect the shaft to the top of the base by inserting the assembly into the underside of the base through the base. Tighten the bolt with the "Allen Wrench" provided.
  3. Install the I.V. Pole Height adjustment knob.
  4. Install the I.V. Hook assembly by screwing the end into top of upper pole.

How to maintain Medline IV Stand?

  • Periodically check that the bolt is properly tightened in the bottom of the base and that the nuts on the casters are secure.
  • Cleaning of the I.V. Stand should be in accordance with the facility’s maintenance policies.

Warnings:

  • Do not use this product without first reading and understanding the instructions contained in this booklet.   • Do not exceed the weight capacity of 28lbs attached to the pole and 9lbs on each hook. (it is recommended That all added weight be evenly distributed amongst the top hooks to maintain stability.
  • All wheels must be in contact with the floor at all times.
  • Do not use the I.V. Pole while walking backwards down gradients or climbing stairs, curbs or to go over Obstacles. Serious risk of fall or injury may occur. 
  • Use care when moving I.V. Pole with a patient. Avoid wet or slick surfaces, wires, cables, or tubes and any Uneven surfaces that may cause I.V. Pole to tip or fall.
  • Only use accessories and spare parts authorized by us med-equip industries. 
  • Caution should be taken if using multiple pumps. Pumps should be hung so that they counterbalance Each other.
  • Do not attach I.V. Pole to other objects.
  • Do not use in mri areas.
  • Do not use the I.V. Pole for support or as a walking aid. Do not attempt to support your weight or use as a Stand assist.
  • Do not lift the pole by the top half of the pole.
  • Do not use the iv pole for anything other than its intended use.
  • Extreme caution should be taken when the iv pole is near the bed or any other furniture.
