In previous times, latex gloves were the most preferred choice of hand protection for medical professionals for having a powder coating on the surfaces to make them easier to put on and take off quickly. Some radiologists wear 18 mil gloves, which help prevent exposure to chemotherapy drugs or other harsh chemicals. These thicker gloves are often made of latex.
