How Does This Product Help People With Disabilities?
LED Fan assists people with disabilities in two ways:
- Increasing sensory stimulation: This light-up fan offers tactile and visual stimulation with the activation of a button. The blowing air from the fan creates an especially unique sensory experience.
- Teaching cause and effect: Like many activated toys, the LED fan helps you understand how cause and effect works. Experiencing the fan activating after interacting with the switch promotes a link between the two events.
How to use LED Fan?
- The LED Fan requires three AAA batteries (not included). Use alkaline batteries only (e.g. Duracell or Energizer brand). Do not use rechargeable batteries or any other type of batteries because they supply lower voltage and the unit will not perform properly. Never mix old and new batteries together or different brands or types together.ÂÂ
- The battery compartment is located on the back of the fan. Carefully turn the unit over, and then remove the battery cover with a small Phillips Head screwdriver. Install new batteries, being careful to observe proper battery polarity.ÂÂ
- User can activate the LED Fan two different ways. One by pressing the built in switch on the base or connect any capability switch via the 1/8 inch jack on the side of the base. Make sure your switch is plugged in all the way, there should be no gaps. Activate the built in switch or your own switch to set the fabulous light show in motion. The LED lights create more than 30 different color patterns. Release pressure from your switch and the lights will stop.ÂÂ
- There is also a small push button on the side of the fan, if you depress this switch the fan will run in continuous play mode. In this mode the built in switch or an external switch will not control the LED Fan.
