Precision Medical EasyVac Aspirator is commonly used to supply a continuous vacuum source, adequate within the stated operating vacuum range, to aspirate fluids in medical suctioning procedures. It is a dual protection system and consists of a float shut-off in the canister lid and an Inline Hydrophobic Filter to prevent the back flow of fluid as well as airborne contaminants from entering the pump.

How to use Aspirator Easy Vac Suction Machine?

  1. Place the Easy Vac Aspirator near the electrical receptacle on a table, floor, or other horizontal, smooth, hard surface. Allow a minimum of 4 in. (10 cm) clearance on all sides to ensure adequate airflow for cooling of the Aspirator.
  2. Press down on the Aspirator until the Suction Feet are secure.
  3. Be sure the On/Off Switch is in the “Off” position.
  4. Be sure the Inline Hydrophobic Filter is properly connected to the vacuum port on the Suction Canister lid. The Inline Hydrophobic Filter prevents liquid from entering the vacuum pump.
  5. Plug the Aspirator into the receptacle.
  6. Turn the On/Off Switch to the “On” position.
  7. Block the patient connection on the Suction Canister and adjust the Vacuum Control Knob to the desired vacuum.
    • To increase the vacuum - Turn the knob clockwise
    • To decrease the vacuum - Turn the knob counter-clockwise.
    Vacuum should be set as prescribed by Provider.
  8. Connect one end of the Patient Suction Tubing to the port on the Canister marked Patient Tubing.
  9. Connect the other end of the patient's suction tubing to the suction catheter and begin the procedure as instructed by the provider.
  10. When the procedure is completed, press the On/Off Switch to the “off” position. Do not overfill the canister.
  11. Remove the canister from its bracket and empty it as instructed by your Provider.
  12. Replace the Suction Canister and reconnect all suctioning tubing.

How to Maintain and Clean Easy Vac Aspirator PM60?

Turn the Easy Vac Aspirator off and disconnect from any external power source before cleaning.
Inline Hydrophobic Filter -
This filter cannot be cleaned. If it becomes contaminated or clogged, it must be replaced 
To replace Inline Hydrophobic Filter:

  • Disconnect the filter assembly from the Suction Canister and remove the Suction Canister from the Aspirator 
  • Remove the filter assembly from the Aspirator
  • Dispose of filter 
  • Install new filter (Part 1690) and reconnect tubing and elbow 
  • Tubing is single-patient use only. DO NOT clean

How to Clean Aspirator Suction Unit Exterior Components?

  • Disconnect the Aspirator from the power source and other connections before cleaning 
  • Use a cloth or sponge dampened with soap and water 
  • Wipe dry with a clean cloth or paper towel 
  • Store the Aspirator in a clean area free from grease, oil, and other sources of contamination
