This FSA-approved amplifier is a battery-powered phone amplifier with slide controls for both volume and tone, providing up to 40 decibels of amplification for telephone users with hearing loss. The boost button allows for even more amplification and eliminates background noise and feedback by muting the microphone in the handset. This will work with most phones with coiled cord handsets. The user will simply have to unplug the handset coiled cord from the phone and plug in the device then plug back the coiled handset cord into the amplifier. This provides a volume boost to the handset earpiece.

Automatic Power On/Off:
If the phone line remains silent for more than 10 to 15 seconds, the amplifier will fade out and return to its Standby mode to reduce power consumption and preserve the battery
Battery Indicator:
- The battery indicator light comes on every time the user lifts the handset to indicate that the battery level is okay
- If the indicator light does not come on, the battery needs to be replaced
- When the battery is drained, the handset will still be operable, if the user moves the volume control switch to the minimum position
