Thank you for reaching out to us. Chemo-type designates that a glove has been tested to a recognized standard. ASTM D6978-05 “Standard Practice for Assessment of Resistance of Medical Gloves to Permeation by Chemotherapy Drugs” is the standard required by the FDA for all new 510(k) applications. The previous standard was F739. “Standard Test Method for Permeation of Liquids and Gasses through Protective Clothing Materials under Conditions of Continuous Contact”. Note the current standard is specifically for chemotherapy drug permeation.
