How to use Hemoccult II Fecal Occult Blood Test Kit?

1. Begin by collecting a small amount of stool in a clean, dry container or the provided collection card. Avoid mixing urine or water with the sample, as it may affect the test results.
2. Take a wooden applicator stick and smear a small portion of the stool sample onto the collection card's designated areas. Typically, you need to apply samples to three different windows on the card.
3. Leave the collection card undisturbed in a dry area at room temperature until the samples are completely dry. This usually takes about 10-15 minutes.
4. Once the samples are dry, open the developer solution bottle and squeeze two or three drops onto each of the dried samples on the collection card.
5. Wait for the recommended time, usually about 60 seconds, for the test results to develop. Check each sample window on the collection card for any blue color change.
   • f there are no blue color changes in any of the sample windows, it indicates a negative result, meaning no detectable blood was found in the samples.
   • If there is a blue color change in any of the sample windows, it suggests a positive result, indicating the presence of blood in the stool sample. Further medical evaluation is typically necessary in such cases.
6. Safely dispose of all used materials, including the collection card and applicator sticks, following the guidelines provided with the test kit.
