The Cybertech Ottobock Pediatric Hip Abduction Orthosis is the most effective treatment for hip dysplasia in children aged 6 to 18 months. Its purpose is to exert as much control over the child's leg motions as possible. The orthosis places the hip joint head in a position that helps the acetabulum grow (hip socket). The two parallel width-adjustable thigh supports, which are anatomically shaped, are split. The condyle bands have a 55 mm range of adjustability. The orthosis is secured using a hook and loop closure. It is also possible to attach pads for the knee's hollow. The medial condyle bands and the abduction unit are connected by two ball joints. Ball joints are shielded by rubber collars. Utilizing the Hip Abduction Orthosis is simple.
