Bioderm UniGrip Catheter Securement Device is a universal tubing securement device that securely holds tubes from 2-47 Fr. It is available in dual straps for all over securement and is made of skin-friendly hydrocolloid adhesive to help prevent skin injuries. UniGrip also features soft straps with no-slip grips that will work for both adult and pediatrics. The gentle grips are durable for repeat positioning and longer improved wear time.

Applying UniGrip Securement Device

  • Clean entire application site with alcohol wipe and allow to dry.
  • Wipe the entire application site with BioPlus+™. Allow 15+ seconds to dry.
  • Remove the release papers and press to the skin to seal.
  • Rest the tube on the soft, no-slip grips. Pull tight to secure.

Warning:
  • Following application, leave a one inch space around the CathGrip device when using any cleansing products, creams or lotions. 
  • Contact with the hydrocolloid will result in early dislodgement of the securement device.

What is the material used to bond the hydrocolloid pad and base of tube locks? Is it double sided tape (adhesive)? How long could that bonding last under rough dealing?

Bioderm Cath Grip Tube Holder is a universal tubing securement device. It is available in single or dual straps for all over securement and is made of skin-friendly hydrocolloid adhesive to help prevent skin injuries. The gentle grips are durable for repeat positioning and longer improved wear time. 
APPLYING CATHGRIP
 Step 1: Prep the application site
– Trimming excess hair on application site – Wipe with BioPlus+ & allow to dry (15 seconds)
– Optional: wipe application site with alcohol wipe for patients with oily skin. 
Step 2: Apply hydrocolloid oval
– Rest CathGrip on the prepped application site.
– Remove the release liners, pressing the hydrocolloid to the skin as you go
– Hold for 10-15 seconds to secure the seal 
Step 3: Secure tube with soft, no-slip grips
– Rest the tube across the no-slip grips.
– If using Grip & Seal, wrap the hydrocolloid wings around the base of the tube at the application site.
