Application Instructions:

• To apply the orthosis, completely open it and position the foot in themiddle of the orthosis
• Position the side elements medially and laterally on the ankle jointsand close the lower hook and loop closure
• Then close the upper hook and loop closure
• If necessary, the cooling elements can be exchanged with the textileelements
   

Cleaning:

• Use a slightly moistened cloth to clean the outside of the orthosis. Hand-wash the textile elements in 30°C warm water with a standardmild detergent. We recommend closing the hook and loop closures beforewashing to keep them functional for a long time. Rinse thoroughly so that all residual detergent is removed. Let air dry. Do not expose to the sun and do not use oven or radiator heat for drying
   

Contraindications:

• In case of the following indications, consultation with a physician is required: Skin diseases/injuries, inflammatory symptoms, prominent scars on body parts to which the orthosis is to be applied that are swollen, reddened and feel excessively warm; lymphatic flow disorders, including unclear 8 soft tissue swelling distant to the body area to which the orthosis is to be applied; sensory and circulatory disorder
   

Caution:

• The initial fitting and application of the product must be carried out bytrained, qualified personnel only
•  The daily duration of use and period of application are dependent on medical indication by the physician
• The product is designed for use on one patient only
• For hygienic reasons, stockings are always to be worn under the orthosis
• An orthosis/support applied too tightly to the body can cause local pressure and, in some cases, even restrict adjacent vessels or nerves
• Do not apply the product too tightly. Consult a physician immediately if you experience unusual changes (such as increase in pain)
• Improper changes to the product are not permitted
• This product is not flame-resistant. Keep the product away from flames or other heat sources.The product should not come into contact with grease or acidic agents,unguents and lotions, as this can reduce the useful life especially of pads.
