The use of bandages is very common in medical industry. They are used in wound management. A bandage is a piece of cloth or any other material that is used to bind or wrap an injured or diseased body part. It is commonly shaped as a roll, strip or pad. Bandages can be used as a primary wound contact dressing or as a secondary dressing used to bind a primary wound dressing to the wound. Medicated bandages can be placed directly against minor wounds with low exudate level.
