What are the Measures to Prevent Diaper Rash?

Change the Diaper Frequently

Change wet diaper frequently. Approximately every two to three hours to make the infants feel free and joyful.

Clean Bottom of the Babies

Clean baby's butt thouroughly. Avoid using soap and disposable wipes as it irritates the delicate skin of the baby.

Apply Petroleum Jelly

Apply A+D Prevention Ointment or the petroleum jelly after changing the diaper to provide a protective barrier and to prevent diaper rash.

Allow to Air Dry

Allow to air dry. Whenever possible leave the baby without the diaper so the air can dry thoroughly.

What to buy with Curad Petroleum Jelly

Precautions:

  • Stop use and ask a doctor if condition worsens
  • Avoid contact with eyes
  • If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away

Warnings:

  • Do not use on deep or puncture wounds
  • Do not use on animal bites
  • Do not use on serious burns

Does Petroleum Jelly Expire?

Petroleum jelly typically has a shelf life of 3 years, but it can often last up to 10 years or more after being opened. However, if it's expired or shows signs of discoloration, an unusual smell, or a change in texture, it's best to throw it away and use a new one. To help it last longer, avoid putting your fingers directly into the jar.
